The 31^st of January is the official birthday of Russian vodka! Of course, we had this beverage before but on the 31^st of January in the year 1865 our famous scientist Dmitry Mendeleev defended his thesis. It was on compound of water and spirit. So he calculated the perfect proportion of spirit and water in vodka and we started to have certain standard for vodka. Of course, I won’t tell you our national secret here)). You have to come and try yourself. Mendeleev by the way was a really interesting person. That was him who saw invented Periodic table of elements after he saw it in his dream.

When it is better to have a city tour? As a rule, it is good to have a city tour on the weekend, the streets are empty and we can see several times more things. This weekend appeared to be the chain of celebrations and events which made the streets not so empty.

A lot of things happened!
I'm recalling Faberge museum. I happened to come to Faberge museum on the birthday of Karl Faberge and came on Mr. Faberge! How it comes if Mr. Faberge lived one hundred years ago! A lot of things are possible in Faberge museum! By the way Mr. Faberge told me some secrets and a lot of interesting stories! Now I’m eager to tell you the stories! Also, there was a quiz connected with the museum and jewelries, and I become the winner and got a prize.

Saint-Petersburg is a really strange and interesting city!

It was artificially founded by our tsar Peter the 1^st in the year 1703, against the nature and notwithstanding the regular floods on the swamp as everybody knows. At the same time we know that there already were some villages and fortress where especially strong and crazy people lived.
